To eliminate prevent unauthorized shutdown of the video surveillance and audio control system, the shutdown function can be protected by you can configure Axxon PSIM to shut down after you enter a password.

The following options for system shutdown are available:

1. Shutdown by the with a password of any operator registered operatorin Axxon PSIM.
2. Shutdown by the with a password of the current authorized user onlya specific operator.
3. Shutdown by the with an administrator password.
4. Shutdown with an administrator password or a password of a specific operator.
5. Operator An operator cannot shut down the system down.

If the operator is forbidden from shutting an operator cannot shut down the system down, the the Run menu of the Main Control Panel does not contain the control panel doesn't contain the Shut Down option. This menu item appears only after opening you enter the administrator password window and entering in the valid administrator password query window. To shut down the system down, you must enter the password should be entered once moreagain. Thus, it is recommended to use the option for shutdown by the administrator password, as wellwe recommend additionally using the option of shutting down Axxon PSIM with an administrator password only.

By default, the system is set for shutdown by any registered operator's passwordto shut down with a password of any operator registered in Axxon PSIM, regardless of the current authorized useroperator who is authorized in the current session.

To change the select a different shutdown option, do the following:

1. Open Go the Users tab in the System Settingssettings window (1).
2. Open In the required User permissions object in the objects tree under the User permissions button (2).
   The settings panel for this object opens on the right side of the System Settings window.

3. To enable system shutdown by the current operator’s password only, check the Shutdown with operator password checkbox (3).
4. To enable system shutdown by the administrator password only, check the Shutdown with administrator password checkbox (4).

As a result, the settings panel of the User permissions object is displayed in the right part of the System settings window on the Main tab.

6. Configure the shutdown of Axxon PSIM:
   • Set the Shutdown with operator password checkbox to shut down the system with a password of this operator only.
   • Set the Shutdown with administrator password checkbox to shut down the system with an administrator password only.
   • Set the Shutdown with operator password and Shutdown with administrator password checkboxes to shut down the system with either a password of this operator or an administrator password.
   • Set
   To forbid the current operator from shutting the system down, check
   • the Shutdown with administrator password and the Disable re-registration checkboxes
   (4,5).To revert to the default shutdown option, deselect all the related checkboxes: 
   • to prohibit this operator from shutting down the system.
   • Clear the Shutdown with operator password, Shutdown with administrator password, Disable re-registration
   (3,4,5).
7. Press the Apply button (6).
8. • checkboxes to shut down the system with a password of any registered operator. This option is used by default. 
9. Click the Apply button.
