Video stream and scene requirements for the Glow detector

Image requirements for the Glow detector

Hardware requirements for neural analytics operation

To configure the Glow detector, do the following:

  1. Go to the
  2.  Detection Tools tab
  3.  Detectors tab.
  4. Below the required camera,
  5. click
  6. click Create…  Category: Production Safety Glow detector.

By default, the detection tool detector is enabled and set to track light sources (lamps).

If necessary, you can change the detection tool detector parameters. The list of parameters is given in the table:

ParameterValueDescription
Object features
Video streamMain streamIf the camera supports multistreaming, select the stream for which detection is needed. Selecting a low-quality video stream reduces the load on the Server

EnableYesThe detection tool detector is enabled by default. To disable the detection tooldetector, select the the No value value

NameGlow detectorEnter the detection tool detector name or leave the default name
Brightness threshold240Specify the sensitivity of the detection tool detector to changes in the state of the light source. You must select the required value empirically. For a dim light source, we recommend increasing the value of the parameter. The value must be in the range [0, 255]
Decoder modeAutoSelect a processing resource for decoding video streams. When you select a GPU, a stand-alone graphics card takes priority (when decoding with NVIDIA NVDEC chips). If there is no appropriate GPU, the decoding will use the Intel Quick Sync Video technology. Otherwise, CPU resources will be used for decoding

Number of frames processed per second20Specify the number of frames that the detection tool detector will process per second. The value must be in the range range [0.016, 100]
Sensitivity99Specify the sensitivity of the detection tool detector as a percentage. You must select the required value empirically. The higher the sensitivity, the greater the probability of a false alarmevent. The lower the sensitivity, the greater the probability of missing an event. The value must be in the range [0, 100]
Time delta between frames100Specify the time interval between two measurements of light indication in seconds. The value must be in the range [0, 10000]
TypeGlow detectorName of the detection tool detector type (non-editable field)

To ensure receiving that you receive accurate events from the detection tooldetector, in the preview window window you can specify one or more detection areas using the anchor points Image Modified (see Configuring the Detection Zonea detection area). Detection areas must be located on each light source (lamp) and their dimensions must match the dimensions of the light sources.

  • For convenience of configuration, you can "freeze" the frame. Click the Image Modified button. To cancel the action, click this button again.
  • The detection area is displayed by default. To hide it, click the Image Modified button. To cancel the action, click this button again.

To save the parameters of the detection tooldetector, click the Apply Image Modified button. To  To cancel the changes, click the Cancel Image Modified button.

Configuration of the Glow detector is complete.
