To configure the Glow detector, do the following:

  1. Go to the Detection Tools tab.
  2. Below the required camera, click Create…  Category: Production Safety  Glow detector.

By default, the detection tool is enabled and set to track light sources (lamps).

If necessary, you can change the detection tool parameters. The list of parameters is given in the table:

ParameterValueDescription
Object features
Video streamMain streamIf the camera supports multistreaming, select the stream for which detection is needed. Selecting a low-quality video stream reduces the load on the Server
Other
EnableYesThe detection tool is enabled by default. To disable the detection tool, select the No value
No
NameGlow detectorEnter the detection tool name or leave the default name
Brightness threshold240Specify the sensitivity of the detection tool to changes in the state of the light source. You must select the required value empirically. For a dim light source, we recommend increasing the value of the parameter. The value must be in the range [0, 255]
Decoder modeAutoSelect a processing resource for decoding video streams. When you select a GPU, a stand-alone graphics card takes priority (when decoding with NVIDIA NVDEC chips). If there is no appropriate GPU, the decoding will use the Intel Quick Sync Video technology. Otherwise, CPU resources will be used for decoding

Number of frames processed per second20Specify the number of frames that the detection tool will process per second. The value must be in the range [0.016, 100]
Sensitivity99Specify the sensitivity of the detection tool as a percentage. You must select the required value empirically. The higher the sensitivity, the greater the probability of a false alarm. The lower the sensitivity, the greater the probability of missing an event. The value must be in the range [0, 100]
Time delta between frames100Specify the time interval between two measurements of light indication in seconds. The value must be in the range [0, 10000]
TypeGlow detectorName of the detection tool type (non-editable field)

To ensure receiving accurate events from the detection tool, in the preview window you can specify one or more detection areas using the anchor points (see Configuring the Detection Zone). Detection areas must be located on each light source (lamp) and their dimensions must match the dimensions of the light sources.

Note

  • For convenience of configuration, you can "freeze" the frame. Click the button. To cancel the action, click this button again.
  • The detection area is displayed by default. To hide it, click the button. To cancel the action, click this button again.

To save the parameters of the detection tool, click the Apply  button. To cancel the changes, click the Cancel  button.
