When Axxon PSIM is launched with a key and equipment limit exceeded, the Limit exceeded message is displayed in the loading window indicating the object which caused the excess and the number of created in the "created/allowed" format. Square brackets indicate the internal ID of the object type in the license key.
In this case to start the Axxon PSIM software operation, do the following:
- Forward the psim.sec key from the Axxon PSIM directory to another folder, e.g. "D:\Temp".
- Run the Axxon PSIM software in the Demo mode.
- Remove a redundant object.
- Shutdown the Axxon PSIM software.
- Restore the key from the "D:\Temp" folder to the Axxon PSIM installation directory.
- Start the Axxon PSIM software.
If the object is not provided by the license key, then it will not be possible to add it to the equipment tree, since it will be absent in the Create object function (see The Create object function). Similarly, it will not be possible to create another object if the limit on the number of such objects provided by the license key is reached.
Moreover time of action of certain objects can be set in the psim.sec license key. If the action of the objects expired, Axxon PSIM starts as usual, but the expired object is colored red in the hardware tree, and the INVALID_OBJECT_TIME event from this object comes to the Debug window.
After the expiration of the object, it is impossible to use it in Axxon PSIM: it continues to be displayed in the object tree, but events are not received from it and it does not respond. Other modules cannot communicate with an expired object.
To resume work with an expired object, you need to request the psim.sec license key from the AxxonSoft manager and update it. If the object is no longer needed, you can delete it (see Deleting).
Note
The validity period of the object cannot be longer than the validity period of the temporary key.
