In Axxon PSIM software it is possible to use modules specialized for working in 32-bits and 64-bits OS. Video.run and vmdadb.run modules, codecs, part of IP-cameras and video capture cards drivers are converted to the 64-bits platform.
Modules specialized for working on the 64-bits system allow removing restrictions on the number of connected and simultaneously displayed video channels in Axxon PSIM software. Using of 64-bits modules allows the system performance improvement up to 10 % comparing with 32-bits modules.
64-bit version of the Scene object (see Configuring object's panoramic view by means of the Scene object) is not available in Axxon PSIM. Some modules of vertical solution may not support 64-bits mode, while others, on the contrary, only support 64-bits mode. Please refer to the documentation for the corresponding vertical solution in here.
64-bits modules are loaded by default, and if there is no corresponding bit module, then a 32-bits module is started.
Important!
If two detection tools of DetectorPack are created in the configuration and one supports 32-bits operation while another supports only 64-bits operation, then detection module will start in 32-bits mode and 64-bits detection tool won't operate (similarly for other vertical solutions as the part of one module).
Using of 64-bits system is recommended:
Note
There is no 64-bits decoder for WS7 and WS17 cards with hardware compression. So video from these cards is not displayed on the remote client when 64-bits modules are in use.
To use the 64-bits modules do the following:
As a result modules specialized for 64-bits OS will be loaded. If the 64-bits module is not found, the corresponding 32-bits module will be loaded.
Configuring of using 64-bits module is completed.
