To configure the access of several operator workstations to the same interfaces, the corresponding displays are to be assigned to these workstations. This can be done manually for each Display or via display assigning Wizard.

Assigning displays manually

The displays can be assigned to workstations on the settings panel of the Display object. Figures below show the configuration of two objects: Display 1 and Display 2. Display 1 will be available for both workstations, while Display 2 will be available only for the COMPUTER 2 workstation.

Note.

If the display assigning is performed from the Server which is not connected with some Servers of distributed system (the corresponding checkbox in the Architecture tab is not set – see the Configuring the interaction of distributed system components section), the data from this Server will not be displayed in the list of computers to which the current Display can be assigned. Settings of these Servers will not change after completing the display allocation.

Assigning displays via Wizard

Assign displays to computers via Wizard as follows:

  1. Click Wizard button on the Interfaces tab (1). The Display settings window opens.
  2. Select the computer in the Computer column (2).
  3. Set check boxes next to Displays to assign them to the selected computer (3).
  4. Repeat steps 2-3 for all required Computer objects.

    Note.

Use Copy (4) and Paste (5) buttons to copy the display list between computers. For example, to assign the same displays to the WS2 computer as those assigned to the S-UYUTOVA computer, do the following:

    1. Select S-UYUTOVA computer in the Display settings dialog box.
    2. Click Copy (4).
    3. Select WS2 computer in the Display settings dialog box.
    4. Click Paste (5).

  5. Click OK (6).

Displays are now assigned to computers.
