To remove the Intellect software from the Start menu do the following:

  1.  In the command prompt select the following: Start -> Programs -> Intellect and then Uninstall in the drop down list, as shown in the figure.

    As a result the Select Action dialog box is displayed.
  2. Set the switch to Remove.
  3. If Intellect settings are to be saved in the database, set the Save program settings and configuration files (recommended) checkbox.

    Note.

    If the “sync.xml” file was changed, then after removing with saving of the configuration it will not be deleted, but the next time you install Intellect it will be overwritten.
    If you made changes to ddi or dbi files installed along with Intellect software, then these files will be deleted when removing Intellect even with Save program settings and configuration files (recommended) checkbox set. If the user has created new ddi or dbi files, they will be saved regardless of the checkbox.
  4. Click the Next button.

    Note.

    Click the Cancel button to interrupt Intellect software removing.


    The dialog window displaying the removing of Intellect software will be displayed.

    After removing the files, message, informing about the removing of Intellect software will be displayed.

  5. Click the Finish button.


Note.

For complete deletion of Intellect software files delete the installation catalog and all the created Video folders for storing the audio and video recordings manually.


Note.

Please take into consideration, that the name of the Intellect software installation folder may differ from the default name (C:\Intellect).

Note.

In certain cases, Windows OS should be restarted before the Intellect software installation folder is deleted (for instance, Folders/Intellect).

Note.

We do not recommend deleting the Intellect software installation folder, if you need to re-install Intellect software. The folder contains:

  1. folders with video records and frames of video records exported during Intellect software operation;
  2. log files containing the information about Intellect software module operations;
  3. backup copies of these  files.


At this stage the deletion process of Intellect software from the Start menu is over.
