Processor's operation frequency is important for the productivity of the Axxon PSIM software, especially for video decoding. The higher frequency, the higher productivity of the Axxon PSIM software on this platform.

The energy saving mode is activated on default in BIOS on modern computers. Usage of this mode on multiprocessor system leads to partial load of CPU cores and reduces productivity of I/O subsystem.  

So for more productivity of the Axxon PSIM software configure BIOS as follows:

  1. Disable all Enhanced Intel SpeedStep (EIST) technologies.
  2. Disable saving modes by customizing settings of maximum capacity.
  3. Disable "green" technologies, such as Energy saving, Turbo boost, Smart throttling.

Note.

Different vendors of motherboards name such technologies the different way. So for each model of motherboard it's required to specify technology name in the corresponding documentation.
