Attention!
The Abandoned object detection can operate only with the Object tracker detection tool.
Before you create and configure the Abandoned object detection, do the following:
- Create the Object tracker detection tool and set its general parameters (see Configuring the Object Tracker).
- Configure some parameters of the Object Tracker detection tool as follows:
Parameter Value Description Auto sensitivity Yes If auto sensitivity is enabled, sensitivity adjustments for moving and abandoned objects are not applied. To apply manual sensitivity adjustments, it is necessary to disable the auto sensitivity Long-time abandoned object detection Yes If you enable this and the Enable filter parameter (see Configuring the Object Tracker), it can reduce the number of false positives during detection Abandoned object detection Yes Objects abandoned for 10 seconds or longer will be detected Alarm on object's max. idle time in area 60 Specify the time in seconds—if the object remains idle for the time longer than the specified, it will be detected. This value should be in the range [15, 1800].
Note
This parameter is used only for the Long-time abandoned object detection. It is recommended to select the parameter value starting from 15.
Abandoned object detection sensitivity 20 For this parameter to work, it is necessary to first disable the Auto sensitivity parameter.
Set the sensitivity for abandoned object detection and long-time abandoned object detection in the range [1, 100].
Note
This parameter depends on the lighting conditions and should be chosen empirically. It is recommended to select the parameter value starting from 20.
- Save the detection tool parameters by clicking the Apply button.
To create the Abandoned object detection, below the Object Tracker detection tool, click Create... → Abandoned Object.
By default, the detection tool is enabled and set to detect brought and abandoned objects.
If necessary, you can change the detection tool parameters. The list of parameters is given in the table:
Parameter | Value | Description |
---|---|---|
Other | ||
Enable | Yes | By default, the detection tool is enabled. To disable, select the No value |
No | ||
Name | Abandoned Object | Enter a detection tool name or leave the default name |
Type | Abandoned Object | Detection tool type name (non-editable field) |
Basic settings | ||
Maximum object height | 100 | Set the maximum height of the object that should trigger the detection tool, as a percentage of the frame size. The value should be in the range [0.05, 100] |
Maximum object width | 100 | Set the maximum width of the object that should trigger the detection tool, as a percentage of the frame size. The value should be in the range [0.05, 100] |
Minimum object height | 0,1 | Set the minimum height of the object that should trigger the detection tool, as a percentage of the frame size. The value should be in the range [0.05, 100] |
Minimum object width | 0,1 | Set the minimum width of the object that should trigger the detection tool, as a percentage of the frame size. The value should be in the range [0.05, 100] |
Attention! In the settings of the Object tracker detection tool and the Abandoned object sub-tool, the values of the maximum and minimum height and width of the object should be equal. | ||
Object type | Brought | Select a value if it is necessary to detect an object that has disappeared from the observed area and crossed its boundaries |
Abandoned | ||
Any | Select this value if it is necessary to detect both brought and abandoned objects |
By default, the entire frame is a detection area. If necessary, in the preview window, set detection areas with the help of anchor points (see Configuring a detection area).
Note
For convenience of configuration, you can "freeze" the frame. Click the
button. To cancel the action, click this button again.The detection area is displayed by default. To hide it, click the
button. To cancel the action, click this button again.To save the parameters of the detection tool, click the Apply button. To cancel the changes, click the Cancel button.
The Abandoned object detection is now configured.
