What’s new in Axxon One 3.0

  1. Optimized the top panel for speed and ease of operation.
  2. Changed the basic export and reworked the logic of setting the export parameters. After you update to Axxon One 3.0, you may need to reconfigure some export parameters (PDF template, watermarks, and so on). Major changes:
  3. Added the ability to create and manage bookmarks
  4. Implemented a real-time multicamera tracker. Icons of tracked objects on the map are displayed synchronously with the person's movement in the video stream
  5. Implemented a new type of search in the archive for the Meta-detector. The search works similarly to queries in the Meta-detector settings. Search queries are available in English
  6. Added the ability to configure the correspondence between the groups of the LDAP catalog and Axxon One roles, and added the support for automatic and manual user synchronization
  7. Implemented encryption of confidential data in the configuration and its backups.
  8. Added support for third-party TLS/SSL certificates.
  9. Added the ability to overlay watermarks with the operator's name on exported videos
  10. Implemented access restrictions to personal data, including face recognition, vehicle license plate recognition, vehicle make and model recognition, and more
  11. Added support for secure gRPC communications.
  12. Updated the entire cryptography to OpenSSL 3.x.
  13. Added support for token authentication for API integrations.
  14. Implemented exclusion of the superuser from EventDatabase (the principle of least privilege for PostgreSQL).
  15. Implemented the simplified integration of third-party analytics with metadata transmission in the native format of Axxon One.
  16. Implemented grouping of objects and the use of quick setup of macros for multiple similar devices
  17. Added the support for DetectorEx module
  18. Added the ability to save credentials when logging into the app. The Remember me checkbox is now available in the authorization window for automatic logins (if you have the appropriate permissions)
  19. Updated the mechanism for time synchronization via the NTP protocol
  20. Added the support for simultaneous replication of multiple channels, and implemented a separate management interface
  21. Added the ability to start a quick search in the archive from live video surveillance.
  22. Separated the options of client app and domain options
  23. Added the ability to export a list of cameras
  24. Added the ability to temporarily disarm the camera

Updating from previous versions

  1. You can update to Axxon One 3.0 only from the latest official release of Axxon One 2.0. You cannot update directly from previous releases of Axxon One (2.0.2, 2.0.4, 2.0.6, and others) to version 3.0. Example of the correct update path is 2.0 → 2.0.14 → 3.0.
  2. After you update from the latest version of Axxon One 2.0 to Axxon One 3.0, the previously configured auto-logon function may require reconfiguration due to a change in the procedure of saving credentials.
  3. When you update from Axxon One 2.0 to Axxon One 3.0, video may not be displayed in the web client. To restore the display of video, clear the browser cache by pressing Ctrl + F5. Alternatively, you can clear the PWA cache manually through the browser's DevTools:
    1. Open the web client in the browser.
    2. Press F12 (or press Ctrl + Shift + I) to open DevTools.
    3. Go to the Application tab.
    4. Select the Storage section.
    5. Click the Clear site data button.
