To configure the events grouping in the incident manager, do the following:

  1. Go to the settings panel of the Incident manager object and select the Group by tab.
  2. In the Group by drop-down list, select the event grouping option in the incident manager interface:
    1. Disabled—the event grouping is disabled.
    2. Operator's selection—the operator can select the grouping method in the incident manager interface on its own.
    3. Region—events are grouped by region.
    4. Event—events are grouped by the event types.
    5. Object—events are grouped by objects.
    6. Handler—events are grouped by the handling type.
  3. Set the Process whole group checkbox, which sets two options:
    1. If the operator takes an event from the selected group into processing, all events of this group are blocked for other operators. If you set this checkbox, all events of the selected group, including new incoming events, are available for processing by only one operator until it completes processing all events of the group. Other operators cannot take events from this group into processing—if they try to do that, the warning message "Group is blocked" is displayed.

      Note

If the operator takes one event from the group into processing and releases it without processing, then the blocked events of the group become released for other operators.

    2. If you escalate one event of the selected group, all events of this group are escalated too.
  4. From the Grouping in list drop-down list, select the event grouping option:
    1. No grouping—all events are displayed in the event display window without grouping. If filtering is set, all events of the selected filter are displayed.
    2. By event—events are grouped by the object type / object ID / event type / logic ID.
  5. Set the Show only first event in the group. Close others without processing checkbox, if you want to show only the first event from the group and close other events without processing after the first event is processed.
  6. If you want to change the event highlighting color, do the following:
    1. Click the Color field next to the selected event.
    2. Select a color from the Color table.
  7. Click the Apply button.

Configuring the events grouping in the incident manager is complete.
