The Save configuration function allows saving the current configuration parameters of an object to a file with the .cfg extension so as to use these parameters for configuring other objects or to restore the configuration parameters of the current object after unexpected loss (for example, if an object is accidentally deleted).

 

After you select the Save configuration menu item, the standard Windows dialog window appears, in which you can specify the name of the configuration file and where you want to save it. By default, the file name includes the name of the object type and its number, for example, CAM.1.cfg or GRABBER.3.cfg.

You can apply the saved configuration to any object of the same type used to create the configuration file. To do so, use the Load configuration function (see The Load configuration function).
