The Axxon One server starts automatically when the operating system starts.
The default time to start the Axxon One server is 120000 ms. If the server fails to start within the set time, a second forced attempt to start the server is made.
You can use the NGP_SERVICE_START_TIMEOUT_MS system variable (see Creating system variable) to increase the server start time. You must specify the value of the variable in milliseconds.
If the server operation is stopped, do one of the following actions to restart the server:
- Restart the system.
- Start the Axxon One server from the notification area Start server (see Tray Tool utility).
- Start the NGP Host Service.
If the Cannot find Server message error appears when you connect the client to the server, do the following:
- Go to Control Panel → Regional Settings → More.
- Change the current language of programs that don't support Unicode to the one that matches with the language of the used keyboard and the characters of which can appear in the user name and folders.
- Restart the server.
If the Connection Error message appears when you connect the client to the server, do the following:
- Go to the Local Security Policy interface interface.
- Select Local Policies → Security Settings.
- Disable the System cryptography: use FIPS compliant algorithms for encryption, caching and signing parameter.
