You can use the User Interface to configure the display of various features.
To configure the user interface:

| Show video stream statistics | By default, video stream statistics aren’t displayed (the checkbox is clear). To display the information, set the checkbox. As a result, the video stream parameters are displayed in the surveillance window for the following modes: live, archive, alarm, and search in archive. The following video stream parameters are displayed in the surveillance window:

| Disable PiP viewing | By default, preview of an alarm event in the surveillance window is disabled (the checkbox is set). To enable the preview, clear the checkbox | |
Enable map auto zoom on alarm | By default, when an alarm occurs, the icon of an alarm camera is centered on the zoomed-in map (the checkbox is set). To disable the auto zoom of the map, clear the checkbox | |
| Full screen mode on main monitor | By default, the client (main monitor) is displayed in full-screen mode (the checkbox is set). To use windowed mode on the main monitor, clear the checkbox Attention! If you clear one of the checkboxes, after you save the changes, you must restart Axxon One (see Stop the client, Starting the client). | |
Full screen mode on additional monitors | By default, the client (additional monitor) is displayed in full-screen mode (the checkbox is set). | Hide date in surveillance window | By default, the time indicator (see Time display) doesn’t display the date (the checkbox is set) in the surveillance window. | Optimize video resolution before rendering | By default, video optimization in the layout is enabled (the checkbox is set). This automatically reduces the number of pixels displayed in the layout if the screen resolution is lower than the camera stream resolution and also helps reduce CPU load. To disable video optimization in the layout, clear the checkbox Note When you enable this option, you can notice a decrease in image clarity in the layout. | |
| Enable hardware decoding | By default, hardware decoding is enabled (the checkbox is set). Hardware decoding activates Intel Quick Sync Video (see Hardware-based decoding with Intel Quick Sync Video). To disable hardware decoding, clear the checkbox | |
| Keep aspect ratio | By default, the video image has a proportional aspect ratio in the surveillance window (the checkbox is set). To stretch the video image to fill the entire surveillance window, clear the checkbox | |
Adjust video frame border | By default, surveillance windows are fixed in size and occupy the entire available area of the layout, but the video images maintain their aspect ratio (the checkbox is clear). To make the sizes of surveillance windows in the layout proportional to the video image resolution, set the checkbox | |
Show onscreen controls only on selected channel | By default, the control buttons are displayed on all windows (the checkbox is clear). If you want to display the elements of the surveillance window only on the active window in the layout, set the checkbox. This setting is only relevant if you select Outside in the Location of the control buttons in the surveillance window parameter | |
| Sort devices by name | By default, cameras (see Camera) are sorted by their short name (ID) on the object panel (see Object panel) (the checkbox is clear). To enable sorting by name, set the checkbox | |
| Hide side panels when maximizing video signal window | By default, when you maximize the surveillance window, the side panels are not hidden (the checkbox is clear). To hide the side panels and map when you maximize the surveillance window, set the checkbox. In this case, when you double-click the surveillance window, the top panel isn’t hidden, but the side panels and map are hidden on the main monitor and additional monitors. The buttons of the side panels are always visible. You can exit full-screen mode in the same way. The top panel, side panels, and the map are visible again | |
| Maximize cell on double-click | By default, you cannot maximize the window by double-clicking (the checkbox is clear). To maximize the surveillance window by double-clicking, set the checkbox. As a result, when you double-click the surveillance window, the top panel is hidden on the main monitor and additional monitors. The side panels and map aren’t hidden, and the buttons of the side panel are always displayed | |

| Slideshow period, s | The default value is 3 seconds. Set the slideshow interval in seconds. The value must be in the range [1, 360]. The slideshow mode is a cyclical switching of layouts with the specified period. The layouts are switched with the specified period.
