Search by LPs allows finding the recognized license plates in the archive as well as filtering vehicles with recognized license plates according to the specified criteria.

Attention!

The search by license plates is available for the users with the corresponding access level settings (see Roles).

To do this, do the following:

  1. Open the required layout (see Configuring layouts).
  2. Click the required camera.
  3. Click the Search button located in the lower right corner of the surveillance window (see Switching to Search in archive).
  4. Set the search interval (see Setting a search interval).
  5. Click the button.
  6. Select the Search by LPs item.
  7. Click the button to add the search license plate criteria that are specified in the table:

    Enter the vehicle license plate that you want to find. You must enter the number either fully or partially using the (any one character in the license plate) and * (any number of any characters in the license plate) characters. For example, the search by the ?20* query displays all vehicles whose license plate contains digits 2 and 0 in the second and third positions. There can be any total number of characters in the license plate

    Note

    To search for all detected license plates, enter * (asterisk).

    Enter the full vehicle model name using Latin letters or digits. Case insensitive

    Attention!

    The unit of vehicle speed measurement depends on the selected unit in the Speed detection field of the detector settings (see License plate recognition RR—ParkingConfiguring License plate recognition RR).

  8. Click the Search button.

Note

You can stop the searching process at any time. For this, click the Stop button, which replaces the button that starts the searching process.

The search results panel displays frames with vehicles whose license plates contain the text from the search query and meet the additional set parameters.

In the surveillance window, the recognized license plate is framed in red.
