General information

This macro starts the replication process—copying blocks of information of a fixed size (video, audio, metadata) from one archive to another within the domain (see Configuring data replication).

Configuring an action

To configure the macro, do the following:

  1. Configure on-demand replication (see Configuring data replication) if replication is performed from the archive. To replicate from the embedded storage of a camera, enable the corresponding object (see Embedded storage).
  2. Go to the Programming tab.
  3. In the Event rules or Cycle rules list, click Create... (see Configuring macros).
  4. Select a start condition that triggers a macro (see Configuring start conditions).
  5. Click the  button below start conditions.
  6. From the drop-down list, select Camera: Start replication.
  7. In the Camera parameter, select a camera or group of cameras for replication. In addition, an implicit camera selection is allowed—Camera that initiated command execution.

    Attention!

If a macro is initiated by an event from an input or output (see Configuring start conditions) that is not connected to any camera, you need to select a specific camera for this action. If you select a group of cameras or a camera that initiated the macro, the action doesn't start.

  8. In the Archive parameter, select an archive to which videos are replicated.
  9. Select the replication period:

    Option

    Description

    Whole period

All missing videos made before to the macro start time are copied

    Offline periods

Videos recorded to the backup storage when connection with the server was lost (intervals between the Signal lost and Signal restored events) are copied. If you don't specify the Offset parameter, the replication covers all corresponding intervals over the last 24 hours

    Time schedule

Select a time schedule (see Creating schedules). All videos made according to the time schedule settings over the last 24 hours before the macro start time are copied

    During

Set the replication duration in HH:MM:SS. Videos over the period [start action, start action + duration] are copied. You can specify an additional Offset parameter as needed

    Finish after

Select one or more end events. All videos between the start point (when the action starts) and the end point (when the event is received) are copied.
Attention! Replication doesn't start until the end event is received

  10. In the Offset parameter, specify the offset value if you selected the During parameter for replication in previous step. Videos from the period [start action − offset, start action + duration offset] are copied.
  11. Click the Apply button.

Configuration of the Start replication action is complete.
