Previous page Selecting disks for storing the archive of the Videogate module  Notification services Next page

By default, if disks are selected for recording (see Selecting disks for storing the archive of the Videogate module), the Videogate requests video streams for all selected cameras (see Selecting and configuring the cameras for the Videogate module) from Server and records archive if recording is configured for these cameras on the Server. You can configure Videogate archive recording by all added cameras regardless of Server configuration, as well as recording only on cameras requested on clients.

To configure the recording to the Videogate archive, do the following:

  1. Go to the Videogate object settings panel.
  2. If it is necessary to provide recording by all cameras added to the Videogate regardless of whether the data is recorded to the main archive of the Server, set the Constant recording checkbox (1).
  3. If it is necessary to provide recording by the cameras the video stream from which is requested and displayed on the Video surveillance monitor, set the Active cameras checkbox (2).
  4. Click the Apply button (3).

Configuring the recording to the Videogate archive is complete.

In case no disk is selected for recording, then:

  • if the Constant recording checkbox is set, then there will be continuous video stream from the Server, and there will be no recording;
  • if the Active cameras checkbox is set, then the video will stream from the Server only if it is displayed on the Video surveillance monitor, and there will be no recording.

Specifics of the Videogate operation with different combinations of set checkboxes for archive recording are described in the table:
