The video surveillance system based on Axxon PSIM uses servers to receive and process video signals from analog and IP surveillance cameras. The server hardware and software platform generally contains:

  1. A personal computer that meets the requirements of Axxon PSIM.
  2. Embedded video capture cards or a dongle (Guardant or MatrixLock) that enables receiving video from IP devices only.
  3. Axxon PSIM with the Server configuration (see Installation of Axxon PSIM as a Server/Remote administrator's workstation).
  4. The license key with rights to use video capture cards or IP devices along with Axxon PSIM.
  5. MS SQL Server software to manage the Axxon PSIM database.

Attention!

For the system to function correctly, all servers must be configured with the same set of software modules (see Function modules), specified in the psim.sec license key.

Attention!

Correct operation of Axxon PSIM is possible only if the user has Windows OS administrator rights.
