Axxon PSIM software provides audio and video synchro recording option.

Audio signal recording begins at the recording start time and ends at recording end time. In synchro record mode, audio files are stored with video files in the Server archive in the "VIDEO" folders on the Server archive local disks.

To use the synchro recording option, Axxon PSIM software audio subsystem is to be properly configured. The audio subsystem configuration procedure in Axxon PSIM system is described in Configuring audio subsystem section.

Attention!

If camera and microphone configured for synchronous video- and audio record are created on the basis of different Computer objects (for example, Server/RAW and Client), than synchronous audio record will be performed only when disks for archive record on both computers have identical letters (see also Selecting the disks for audio archive storage and Selecting the disks for video archive storage).

If the audio subsystem is configured, do the following to configure synchro recording on the selected camera and microphone:

  1. Go to the Hardware tab in the System settings dialog box (1).
  2. Select the Camera object corresponding to the required camera in the objects tree (2). The settings panel for the selected object is displayed on the right of the Hardware tab.
  3. Go to the Basic settings tab on the settings panel of the Camera object (3).
  4. In the Number dropdown list of the Recording audio table select the ID of the microphone set for synchro recording when being registered in Axxon PSIM (4).
  5. After the number is set, the name of any selected Microphone object is automatically displayed when clicking on any area of the Microphone column in the table (5).

  6. If synchro audio recording from 2 microphones is to be performed, then repeat steps 4-5 for the second microphone.

    Note.

Audio from two Microphones is recorded to one stream.

  7. Click the Apply button (6).

Camera and microphone are now configured for audio and video synchro recording.
