Previous page Selecting events to display and handle  Setting the events priority Next page

You can specify the objects from which you want to receive and handle events in the Incident manager in two ways: each event separately (this method is described in Selecting events to display and handle) or several events at once—this method is described below.

To add events as a group to the Incident handler, use the Add window that opens after clicking the Add button on the Filters tab of the Incident handler object:

Functions used in this window

  1. You can select only one of the specified object types (you cannot select several at once), because different events are used for different types. All types of objects that are available in your Axxon PSIM software will be listed in the table:

  2. You can use the line with filters (1) to quickly find the required objects and events. Each filter applies only for the table below it. You can enter letters, numbers and characters to search. The names can be entered fully or partly.

  3. To set the checkboxes next to all names of objects of a particular type, right-click in any place of the Object name table, and in the context menu, click Select all. To clear all checkboxes, click Reset all (2).

  4. To set/clear the checkboxes next to all events, you can click Select all/Reset all in the context menu of the Object events table. You can also select certain events for one object, and then copy the selection to other objects of this type. To do this, select Copy for all objects from the context menu. For example: Camera 1 has the checkboxes set only next to the Disarmed and Connection lost events. After you click Copy for all objects in the context menu, only the checkboxes next to the Disarmed and Connection lost events will be set for all cameras.

  5. You can select objects and events in two ways:
    1. Select them with the Ctrl key pressed. In this case, the lines of the selected objects and events will be highlighted in gray and blue:

    2. Set the checkboxes next to the required objects and events:

  6. As a result, the buttons for setting Logic, Priority, Timer, and Autoescalation will be different:
    1. The button applies the selected setting only for the objects and events that were selected with the Ctrl key pressed (regardless of the selection color—blue or gray);

    2. The button applies the selected setting only for the objects and events next to which the checkboxes are set. (предупреждение) The setting doesn’t apply to objects and events highlighted in blue.

  7. Depending on how you select the required Object name, the Object events table will display the following events:

    1. the events from the object selected by clicking its name. If several objects are selected in the Object name table, the events are displayed for the object that was selected first.
    2. the events from the object next to which the checkbox is set. If several checkboxes are set, the events from the object selected last will be displayed.

  8. To clear all checkboxes in all tables, click the button in the lower left corner. To exit without saving the changes, click the button.

Order of adding events to the Incident handler

  1. On the Filters tab of the Incident handler object, click the Add button.

  2. In the opened Add window, in the Object type table, left-click the required object type to select it (1).

  3. In the Object name table, set the checkbox next to the name of the object, the events from which you want to add (2).

  4. The Object events table will display all possible events for this object. Select the events for displaying and handling by setting the checkboxes next to the necessary ones, without highlighting the line with color (3).

  5. If necessary, set the Logic for the selected object events (the Logic must be created beforehand, see Creating and configuring the logic of event handling):
    1. Select the required Logic from the drop-down list (4);

    2. Click the Set for checked objects/events button (5).
  6. If necessary, set the Priority (6, 7), Timer, s (8, 9), and Autoescalation (10, 11), similar to Logic—see the previous step. The functionality and options for these settings are described in detail in Selecting events to display and handle.
  7. Repeat steps 2-6 for all required objects.
  8. Click the OK button (12).

As a result, the selected object events will be added to the Filters tab of the Incident handler with the specified logic, priority, timer and autoescalation settings. The example in the figure below shows the result after you click the OK button:

To save the result, click the button.

Similarly, you can add events by selecting the required objects and events by clicking them (to select several at once—by clicking them with the Ctrl key pressed). In this case, to set the Logic, etc., the Set for selected objects/events button is used.

You can also combine checkboxes and object/event selection. Examples:

Task 1: Set different Logics (1 and 2) for the Connection and Connection lost events of the Camera 3.

Solution:

  1. Select the Camera object type and select Camera 3 object name by left-clicking.
  2. Set the checkbox next to the Connection lost event.

  4. Set the checkbox next to the Connection event and highlight it with color by clicking it.
  5. Select Logic 2 from the drop-down list and click the Set for selected objects/events button below it.
  6. Click the OK button.

The result:
